While I appreciate the compliment, Chuck, there are serious problems on Substack that need to be addressed. There is a specific article that was published about 2 weeks ago calling for the murder of all conservatives. I hope you understand that terroristic threats and incitement to violence do not constitute legally protected free speech. And there are Nazis on Substack. I can't agree to sacrifice the safety of the Jews so some skinhead has the pleasure of calling for my murder.
I think that Substack is not enforcing its own terms and conditions. And I have a personal stake in this that I hope to write about soon.
Dear Serak, I stand with you in reviling all speech inciting violence and hate. I was not aware of the recent call on Substack for murder as a solution to ideological differences. Hate is a primitive emotion and must be countered by discernment and solidarity so that men of good will can defend the practical aspects of survival. Lessons of the Nuremberg Trials must be revisited and relearned, like so many other principles of civil conduct our modern world has forgotten. I agree we must not tolerate hatred leading to violence and support you in striving to make that happen.
